Blue Dog Ceramics is a ceramics collective based in Trumansburg and Ithaca, formed by Fiona Marks and Ryley Uerkvitz.

 

Our paths in the ceramic arts and in life crossed about a year ago during a transitionary winter for the both of us. Over the past year we have begun to collaborate and come together in our pottery endeavors, and came together officially to create Blue Dog Ceramics, a space for us to work together and spread our art in community.

Our works are different but complementary, with our strengths and aesthetics differing and converging to create a body of work that hopefully holds something for everyone. From wheel-thrown dinner and decorative ware to hand built jewelry, all of our pieces are made with intention and thoughtful creativity.

We currently work out of our respective apartments and do our best to utilize our small spaces the best that we can, an exercise in both resourcefulness and adaptation!
